Borer Beetle Control
Borer beetle treatments are pest-specific and targeted. Borers can affect timber in roof spaces, sub-floors, wall framing, furniture, and stored timber. Because activity is often hidden, treatment focuses on inspection of affected areas and targeted application to active timber to help reduce ongoing activity and protect timber where possible.
Common Borer Beetle Activity Areas
-
Roof spaces and timber trusses/rafters
-
Sub-floor areas and floor joists/bearers
-
Timber furniture, skirting, and architraves
-
Sheds, garages, and stored timber
-
Timber window frames and door frames
-
Areas with visible borer holes, frass (fine dust), or damaged timber
Common Borer Beetles
-
Powderpost beetles
-
Old house borer
-
Common furniture beetle
Important Safety Note
Borer beetle treatments may involve internal applications to timber and roof/sub-floor areas. People and pets may need to leave the property during treatment depending on the areas being treated and product used. We’ll advise you before we begin. If an internal spray treatment is required, all occupants and pets must leave the property and remain out until treated areas are fully dry, usually 2–4 hours.
Preparation Required (Before Treatment)

-
Move stored items away from affected timber areas where possible

Preparation Required (After Treatment)
To ensure the treatment works effectively and keeps everyone safe:
-
Keep people and pets away from treated areas until fully dry (usually 2–4 hours if spraying is carried out)
-
Do not disturb treated timber areas unless advised
-
Some activity may continue briefly before reducing depending on the life cycle inside the timber
-
Contact us if activity persists beyond the recommended timeframe
