Carpet Beetle Control
Carpet beetle treatments are pest-specific and targeted. You may spot adult beetles near windows or lights, but it’s usually the larvae that cause damage by feeding on natural fibres in carpets, rugs, clothing, and upholstered furniture. Because larvae often develop in hidden areas such as skirting edges, wardrobes, under furniture, and along floor coverings, treatment focuses on active areas and likely harbourage points to reduce activity and help break the breeding cycle.
Common Carpet Beetle Activity Areas
-
Carpets and rugs (especially along edges and skirting)
-
Under beds, lounges, and heavy furniture
-
Wardrobes, drawers, and stored clothing/linen
-
Upholstered furniture and fabric items
-
Curtains, window sills, and light-filled rooms (adult beetles often gather near windows)
-
Roof voids and sub-floor areas (where lint, hair, or old nesting material may be present)
Common Carpet Beetles
-
Variegated Carpet Beetle
-
Black Carpet Beetle
-
Australian Carpet Beetle
-
Furniture Carpet Beetle
Important Safety Note
Carpet beetle treatments involve internal spray treatment, all occupants and pets must leave the property and remain out until treated surfaces are fully dry, usually 2–4 hours. Food items, utensils, and exposed surfaces should be covered or removed prior to treatment.
Follow-up treatments (If Required) may be recommended depending on the level of activity, the areas affected, and how quickly activity reduces after the initial service. If required, we’ll discuss this with you and confirm pricing before booking.
