Mite Control
Mite treatments are pest-specific and targeted. Mites are tiny and can be difficult to identify without inspection. Some mite activity may appear localised, however the source can come from birds, rodents, stored products, or outdoor harbourage areas. For this reason, treatment focuses on identifying likely source areas and applying targeted control to affected zones for stronger long-term results.
Common Mite Activity Areas
-
Bedrooms and living areas (carpets, skirting edges, soft furnishings)
-
Window sills, curtains, and around light sources
-
Bathrooms and laundries (humid areas)
-
Roof spaces and wall voids (especially if bird/rodent activity is present)
-
Garages, sheds, and storage areas
-
Outdoor entry points around doors, windows, and weep holes
Common Mites
-
Bird mite (bird lice mite)
-
Rat mite (rodent mite)
-
Clover mite
-
Grain mite (stored product mite)
-
Poultry Red Mites (chicken mite)
Important Safety Note
In most mite treatments involving targeted crack-and-crevice applications, people and pets may remain on the property. If an internal spray treatment is required, all occupants and pets must leave the property and remain out until treated surfaces are fully dry, usually 2–4 hours. Food items, utensils, and exposed surfaces should be covered or removed prior to treatment.
Follow-up treatments may be recommended depending on the mite type, severity, and how activity responds after the initial service. If required, we’ll discuss this with you and confirm pricing before booking.

Preparation Required (After Treatment)
To ensure the treatment works effectively and keeps everyone safe:

-
Do not wipe or clean treated skirting edges, cracks, or treated surfaces for at least 48 hours
-
Avoid mopping or steam cleaning treated floors for 48 hours unless advised
-
Continue regular vacuuming after the advised period to help remove remaining mites

Some mite activity may continue briefly before reducing as treatments take effect
