Earwig Control

Earwig treatments are pest-specific and targeted. Earwigs prefer cool, damp areas and commonly hide in mulch, garden beds, under pavers, and around outdoor edges during the day. They can also wander indoors at night, especially during warmer months or after rain. Treatment focuses on common harbourage areas and entry points to help reduce activity and prevent ongoing earwig problems.

Common Earwig Activity Areas

  • Garden beds, mulch, and leaf litter

  • Under pavers, stones, and outdoor mats

  • Around external walls, weep holes, and door thresholds

  • Garages, sheds, and storage areas

  • Bathrooms, laundries, and other damp indoor areas

  • Around windows, sliding doors, and entry points

Common Earwigs

  • Common earwig

  • Ringlegged earwig

Important Safety Note

In most earwig treatments involving targeted applications and external perimeter treatments, people and pets may remain on the property. If an internal spray treatment is required, all occupants and pets must leave the property and remain out until treated surfaces are fully dry, usually 2–4 hours. Food items, utensils, and exposed surfaces should be covered or removed prior to treatment.

Warranty

Earwig treatments include up to 3 months cover in treated areas only. External harbourage, garden beds, moisture and environmental conditions may affect long-term results. Full terms apply.

Treatment & Pricing

Pricing by property size:

  • Small homes (1–2 bedrooms): from $240

  • Medium homes (3 bedrooms): from $280

  • Large homes (4+ bedrooms or large blocks): from $380

Important Pricing Note
All prices listed are starting prices only and may vary depending on activity levels, moisture conditions, property size, access, and treatment requirements. Final pricing will always be discussed and confirmed before treatment.

Follow-up treatments may be recommended depending on activity levels and how quickly earwig activity reduces after the initial service. If required, we’ll discuss this with you and confirm pricing before booking.

Follow-up pricing:

  • Small homes: from $140

  • Medium homes: from $180

  • Large homes: from $240

Optional Quarterly Maintenance

(Available after the first service and ideal for properties with recurring earwig activity or higher-risk conditions such as damp areas and heavy garden harbourage.)

Maintenance includes inspection, preventative checks, and treatment of any active or high-risk areas to help reduce ongoing earwig activity.

  • Small homes: from $200

  • Medium homes: from $260

  • Large homes: from $340

Seasonal changes can affect earwig activity, with infestations often becoming more noticeable during warmer months, humid weather, or after rainfall. Quarterly maintenance helps manage ongoing risk through regular inspection and targeted treatment of active or high-risk areas.

Optional Add-On Treatments

(Pricing may vary depending on access and property conditions.)

  • Roof void dusting: from $80

  • Sub-floor dusting: from $100

What Is Dusting?

Dusting is a targeted pest control method where a fine, professional-grade insecticidal dust is applied into cracks, crevices, wall voids, roof voids, and sub-floor areas where earwigs may hide or travel. The dust remains active for an extended period and helps control hidden populations that sprays may not reach. Dusting is applied only in concealed areas and is safe when used correctly by a licensed technician.
